详细释义
二年生草本植物。叶长椭圆形。夏季开花，花瓣四片，红、紫或白色。果实未成熟时划破表皮，流出乳状白液，可制鸦片，含吗啡和其他生物碱，有镇痛、镇咳和止泻作用，但常用能成瘾。果壳亦入药。花供观赏。
二年生草本植物，花红色、粉红色、白色，可供观赏，果实球形，可入药。
