亦作“馬弔”。古代博戏。始于明代中叶。因合四十叶纸牌而成，故又称“叶子戏”。牌分十字、万字、索子、文钱四门，前两门画《水浒》人像，后两门画线索图形。四人同玩，每人八叶，馀置中央，出牌以大打小。见明潘之恒《叶子谱》、冯梦龙《马吊牌经》。
萬曆之末，太平無事，士大夫無所用心，間有相從賭博者。至天啓中，始行馬弔之戲，而今之朝士，若江南、山東，幾於無人不爲此。
