亦作“𨆍席”。越前而登席。古人宾席在户西，以西头为下。行礼之时，人各一席，如相离稍远，可以由下而升。若布席稍密，或数人共一席，必须由前乃可得己之座；若不由前，为躐席。
登席不由前爲躐席。
登席不由前为躐席。
升必由下也。 —郑玄注

毋踐履，毋踖席
毋践履，毋踖席
踖，犹躐也。席既地铺，当有上下。将就坐，当从下而升，当己位上，不发初从上，从上为躐席也。《玉藻》云升席，升席不由前为躐席也。熊氏以为踖席犹逆席，逆席谓从上升也。 —唐孔颖达疏
