瑞草。又名蓂荚、历荚。传说古人曾用以计历。
〔堯時〕又有草莢階而生，月朔始生一莢，月半而生十五莢，十六日以後，日落一莢，及晦而盡。月小則一莢焦而不落。名曰蓂莢，一曰曆莢。
