楚明光者，楚王大夫也。昭王得𤧗氏璧，欲以貢於趙王，於是遣明光奉璧之趙。郡中羊由甫知趙無反意，乃讒之於王曰：“明光常背楚用趙，今使奉璧，何能述功德？”及明光還，怒之，明光乃作歌曰《楚明光》。
