杨伯峻注：“據孔《疏》引服虔注，啓謂闔扇，塞謂鍵閉……闔扇指門，用木制者曰闔，用竹葦制者曰扇。闔扇所以開，故曰啓。鍵閉者，門有兩扇，每扇各直釘一短木，其上有孔，兩扇既合，然後用一横木貫于兩孔中，加管鑰焉，所以閉之也。其貫門扇之横木曰鍵，其受横木者曰閉。鍵閉所以塞，故曰塞。鍵閉非鎖鑰。説詳李貽德《輯述》。”
