水中捞月 shuǐ zhōng lāo yuè 比喻白费气力，毫无成果。元 杨暹《刘行首》第三折：“恰便似沙里淘金，石中取火，水中捞月。”《初刻拍案惊奇》卷二十：“子嗣之事，至此暮年，亦是水中捞月了。”亦作“水中捉月”。《景德传灯录·永嘉真觉禅师》：“镜里看形见不难，水中捉月争拈得。”宋 黄庭坚《沁园春》词：“镜里拈花，水中捉月，觑着无由得近伊。”
